RURAL INDIA SELF DEVELOPMENT TRUST (RISDT) is a non-profit developmental organization engaged in promoting development through community mobilization for the rehabilitation of physically disadvantaged, socially marginalized communities, and alleviate poverty through medical intervention, education and rural development. It is founded in 1983 by Mr. Bruno Jehle of Switzerland in the form of Peoples Clinic for the care and social restoration of leprosy patients in two villages in East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh. .

To see a society that promotes safety, security and access to justice among vulnerable groups; equitable and fair opportunities to realize full potential of every citizen thereby reduce poverty and inequalities among all social groups

MISSION

To enable sustainable solutions to long-term problems of poverty, with special emphasis on the needs of rural communities in the areas of health, education and rural development.
